Message from the Board...
Notice to all residents, dog owners AND non-dog owners:
There is a growing problem of pet waste accumulation in the neighborhood, specifically on private property.
In order to keep our neighborhood clean and beautiful, as well as maintain the best property values, everyone's attention in addressing this problem is requested. The following information is provided regarding the law associated with pet waste in Fayetteville communities.
The Board is looking into the city installing waste stations in a couple locations, we will update the neighborhood as we get information.
City Ordinances
92.06 - Animal Waste, Offensive Odors Prohibited
(A) The owner of an animal shall be responsible for the removal of any excreta deposited by his animal(s) on public walks, recreation areas, public parks, or private property.
92.22 - Running At Large Prohibited
It shall be unlawful for the owner or person having charge of any dog or cat to permit or allow such dog or cat to run at large within the corporate limits of the city at any time.
